CHANDLER, Ariz. - Penn State junior forward Moira Putsch has been selected as the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I weekly award winner for competitions from Oct. 16-22, it was announced on Wednesday.
Putsch posted six goals over the weekend as she helped the No. 6-ranked Nittany Lions to victories over No. 21 Rutgers and Indiana this past weekend.

Putsch notched a pair of hat tricks last week to lead the Nittany Lions to two victories. She scored her team's final three goals in the second half, including the game-winner to break a 1-1 tie in the 42nd minute, in a 4-1 win over then-No. 21 Rutgers on Friday. Putsch followed it up with three goals in a 7-1 win over Indiana on Sunday where she scored the first two tallies of the contest.
This is the second time this season that Penn State has had a player selected as the NHCA Player of the Week as Gini Bramley earned the honor following the first weekend of play
