UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - For 46 hours one weekend in February each year, Penn State students dance to raise funds in the attempt to eradicate childhood cancer. On Wednesday, November 8, a one-day event with Nittany Lion men's basketball will support THON's efforts with $10 from the sale of each student season ticket sold being donated to THON.
Penn State men's basketball coach Patrick Chambers will visit with students beginning at noon on November 8 at the THON Hoops Game booth on the first floor of the HUB.
Student season tickets for 2017-18 are $35 each and can be purchased at a first-floor booth at the HUB from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on November 8. Credit cards and LionCash will be accepted at the HUB location. Students can also use the online account manager. Credit and debit cards are accepted as forms of payment online with the online sale beginning at 12 a.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. on November 8.
The Penn State THON Hoops Game during the 2017-18 season is Saturday, January 27 vs. Rutgers. All student single-game tickets sold for that game will benefit THON. One of the most sought-after items on campus, the THON Game T-shirts will be distributed only to men's basketball student season ticket holders as a limited number are produced for that designated game.
Student season ticket holders are allowed to enter the Bryce Jordan Center on gameday before the doors open to other fans and enjoy free pre-game food (while supplies last) at home games. Student pre-sale access for non-basketball events, such as concerts and shows at the Bryce Jordan Center, when available, is part of the student season ticket package as a "Legion of Blue Insider."
The student season ticket for men's basketball is not transferable.
Penn State kicks off Homecoming weekend activities and opens its 2017-18 season on Friday, November 10.
