Nittany Lions in the NFL - Week 10

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - A total of 29 Penn State football alumni are populating the rosters of 21 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top-20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com has provided updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.

In Week 10, wide receiver Chris Godwin made his first career NFL start for the Buccaneers, setting career highs with five catches and 68 yards. On the defensive side of the ball, safety Adrian Amos posted another eight-tackle effort for the Bears, while defensive end Anthony Zettel made a career-high six stops with one sack for the Lions.

Godwin made his first career NFL start Sunday against the Jets, filling in for suspended Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans, and set career highs with five catches for 68 yards. He contributed to four of the 10 longest plays of the day for the Buccaneers. He also made a tackle following an interception and sealed the win by securing an on-side kick in the final minute.
