UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -The Penn State women's basketball team will end a quick two-game road trip on Saturday (Nov. 18) at Providence. The Lady Lions (3-0) and Friars (1-1) will tipoff at 1 p..m inside Alumni Hall on the Providence campus.

Scouting the Friars
// Head coach Jim Crowley will be facing the Lady Lions for hte third time in the last four season, however, it will be his first meeting with Providence. Crowley owns a 2-0 mark vs. Penn State, defeating them in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons as the head coach of St. Bonaventure.
// The Friars erased a 20-point fourth quarter deficit at Northeastern and claimed a 98-95 victory in overtime in their last outing. Providence outscored Northeastern 47-24 over the final 14 minutes of the fourth quarter and overtime to earn the win.
// The Friars are one of five teams in Division I without a blocked shot yet in 2017-18.
// Providence ranks No. 3 nationally in 3-point field goal percentage, connecting on 52 percent of its shots from behind the arch. The Friars are 13-of-25 from 3-point range this season.
// Jovana Nogic ranks No. 11 nationally with 25.5 points per game this season, a mark that ranks No. 2 currently in the BIG EAST.
// Ny-Asia Franklin posted a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds at Northeaster, playing 34 minutes off the bench and hitting 7-of-11 shots from the floor.

Last Five Games
// Dating back to 2016-17, Penn State is 4-1 over its last five contests, which includes three wins to open the 2017-18 campaign and one victory in the 2017 WNIT.
// Penn State has wins over four different conference, defeating (in order) Fordham (Atlantic 10), Siena (Metro Atlantic), Drexel (Colonial) and Marshall (C-USA).
// Redshirt-sophomore Amari Carter is doing a little of everything for the Lady Lions, reaching double-figures in four of her last five games, entering today with a 12.0 points per game avearge during that span.
// Carter is also adding 5.4 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game, chipping in 3.0 steals per contest over the last five.
// Sophomore Jaida Travascio-Green is averaging 14.4 points per game in five starts, which is bolstered by a 31-point effort on Nov. 12, 2017 vs. Drexel.
// Travascio-Green is averaging 3.4 made 3-pointers per game during that stretch and has team-best nine blocked shots.
// Sophomore Siyeh Frazier has opened the season with three-straight double-digit scoring games and is averaging 8.4 points and 3.4 steals over the last five games.
// Freshman Kamari McDaniel has been a spark off the bench for the Lady Lions, as she scored 20 points at Marshall for her first career double-figure scoring game and is averaging 10.7 points per game in three appearances.
// Redshirt-sophomore De'Janae Boykin is averaging a double-double of 11.7 rebounds and 11.7 points in three starts to begin the 2017-18 season. She missed the final 16 games of last season due to injury.

Boykin Doubles Up
// De'Janae Boykin returned to the floor on Nov. 10, 2017 vs. Siena after missing the final 16 games of the 2016-17 season due to injury and posted a solid showing with eight points and nine rebounds.
// Following her efforts against the Saints, Boykin poured in a career-high 14 points and hauled in a career-best 19 rebounds for her first career double-double.
// The redshirt-sophomore's 19 rebounds rank tied for No. 11 in program history - tied with three others - and are the most by a Penn Stater since Nikki Greene hauled in 20 rebounds vs. Cal State Northridge on Nov. 24, 2012.

Siyeh's Sophomore Debut
// After closing the 2016-17 season on a high note, Siyeh Frazier started her sophomore campaign the same way, scoring in double-figures in all three games to open the 2017-18 slate.
// Frazier kicked off her sophomore season with a 14-point, 8-steal, 6-assist and 3-rebound night vs. Siena.
// The eight steals were the most by a Lady Lion since Alex Bentley posted eight swipes vs. NJIT on Dec. 23, 2012.
// Versus Drexel, Frazier scored in double figures, again, marking the first time in her career she netted back-to-back 10-point efforts. She ended with 10 points, two assists and one steal.
// At Marshall, Frazier logged 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, to go along with five assists and four more steals.

JTG Goes for 31
// With 49 seconds left in the first quarter, Jaida Travascio-Green connected on her first field goal of the game vs. Drexel, giving her four points in the contest and would end the first quarter with six tallies.
// Over the final three quarter, Travascio-Green poured in 25 points - including 12 in the fourth quarter along - and become the 17th Lady Lion to post a 30-point game.
// Her 31 tallies mark the 69th 30-point game in program history, as she joins teammate Teniya Page as the only current Lady Lions to reach the 30-point mark.

Career Night for Jaida
// Along with her career-best 31 points vs. Drexel, Jaida Travascio Green was able to accomplish three more career high efforts in the process.
// Her 10 made field goals marked a personal-best, while her seven made 3-pointers were also a career mark. The seven made triples are the most by a Lady Lion since Lindsey Spann hit seven shots from distance at Minnesota on Jan. 3, 2016.
// The sophomore also added a personal-best five blocked shots in the game, the most for a Lady Lion since Candice Agee swatted five shots vs. Rider on Dec. 14, 2014.

Carter Assist-Turnover
// Redshirt-sophomore Amari Carter has handled the Penn State offense with a steady hand during her first two seasons on campus, with just 56 turnovers in 36 appearances.
// As a first-year player, she handled the fast-paced Penn State offense like a veteran, leading the team in assists and ranking among the national leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.73.
// For her career, she has led the team in assists on 20 occasions - including 16 games with 5-plus assists - and committed two-or-fewer turnovers in 29-of-36 games played.

Freshman Firsts
// All three rookies saw time off the bench in the season opener vs. Siena, with all three reaching the scoring column in their collegiate debuts.
// Alisia Smith logged 17 minutes on the court in the season opener, hitting 3-of-5 shots from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.
// Sam Breen added seven points and grabbed four rebounds in her debut, adding one assist and one steal.
// With five points, three assist and two steals, Kamaria McDaniel logged 22 minutes on the floor to lead all rookies.

McDaniel Sparks Lions at Marshall
// With Penn State trailing by two points and stuggling to find a consistent footing on offence, Kamaria McDaniel hit a 3-pointer to push the Lady Lions into the lead.
// McDaniel hit another 3-pointer in the second quarter and ended the half with eight points, however it was her 12 points in the second half that sparked the Lady Lions to victory.
// The rookie poured in a career-high 20 points in the win at Marshall, hitting 7-of-11 shots from the floor and 5-of-8 tries from 3-point range, all career best efforts.
// She added two assists, one steal and four rebounds in the contest in a career-high 26 minutes off the bench.

Block Party
// The 2017-18 squad wasted no time getting into the record books, as the 13 rejections vs. Drexel rank No. 2 all-time in Bryce Jordan Center history and sit No. 4 all-time in single game history.
// The 14 blocked shots vs. Purdue on Jan. 12, 2014 remains the BJC standard and one of three 14-block efforts in program history.
// Along with the blocks against Purdue in 2014, Penn State also rejected 14 shots vs. Boston (1/22/82) and Delaware (2/15/80).

Turning 'Em Over
// Penn State os forcing 18.7 turnovers per game this season, including a pair of games with 20-plus missteps forced.
// Siena turned the ball over 25 times in the season opener, which are the most turnovers forced by a Penn State team since forcing 26 vs. Oregon State on Nov. 11, 2013.
// The Lady Lions then pressured Marshall into 22 turnovers on Nov. 15 in a road win.
// Penn State is averaging 12.3 steals per game over the first three contests, as well.

Washington Eyes No. 200
// In her 11th season at the helm of the Lady Lion program, head coach Coquese Washington has amassed 184 career victories, leaving her just 16 shy of reaching the 200-win mark for her career.
// Over a decade on the Penn State sideline, Washington has enjoyed three Big Ten regular season championships, six postseason appearances - including four NCAA Tournament berths - and five 20-win campaigns.
// She looks to become the 16th head coach to reach 200 wins at a single Big Ten institution, with five of those coaches still active (Lisa Bluder, Iowa; Brenda Frese, Maryland; Suzy Merchant, Michigan State; C. Vivian Stringer, Iowa & Rutgers; Sharon Versyp, Purdue).

Sans Seniors
// Penn State enters the 2017-18 season with no seniors on its roster, making it one of 11 NCAA Division I programs without a senior on its 2016-17 roster.
// Of the 349 Division I women's basketball programs, only Penn State, Alabama A&M, Arizona State, Delaware State, FIU, Fresno State, Houston Baptist, Omaha, Portland State, Utah State and VCU are without "senior leadership" on the roster.

Page Among B1G Leaders
// After a pair of solid showings in her first two seasons, Teniya Page enters her junior season ranked among the top returners in the Big Ten in scoring and assists.
// The Chicago, Illinois native is the only non-senior on the active scoring ledger, sitting No. 8 with 1,091 points. She is No. 6 on the active assists charts with 240 helpers.

3-point Prowess
// After finished No. 3 on the single season 3-pointers made charts last season, Penn State has picked up right where it left off, averaging 9.7 made 3-pointers per game in 2017-18.
// The 2016-17 roster finished No. 3 all-time at Penn State with 193 made 3-pointers, trailing only the school record 228 made triples by the 2002-03 and 2010-11 squads.
// The 2017-18 squad started off the season with eight makes from distance vs. Siena, connected on nine triples against Drexel and hit 12 shots from long-range at Marshall.
// So far in 2017-18, Penn State is shooting 43.3 percent from beyond the arch, which leads the Big Ten and ranks No. 28 nationally.
// On an individual level, sophomore Jaida Travascio-Green has hit at least three shots from deep in each game this season, including seven triples vs. Drexel.
