Nittany Lions in the NFL - Week 13

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - A total of 28 Penn State football alumni are populating the rosters of 21 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top-20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com has provided updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.

Robbie Gould was arguably the most impactful player in all of the NFL in Week 13, successfully converting all five of his field goal attempts to account for all of the 49ers' points in a 15-14 victory. Veteran linebackers Navorro Bowman and Paul Posluszny also had big games, as Bowman recovered a fumble for the Raiders and was the game's leading tackler, while Posluszny enjoyed his best game since 2015 with 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Additionally, defensive linemen DaQuan Jones and Austin Johnson combined for 2.5 sacks for the Titans.

James was limited to one reception, but it was a crucial one. His 13-yard catch on third-and-5 from the Cincinnati 19-yard line with 4:37 remaining in the game setup a game-tying touchdown.

Jones started at defensive end for the Titans and had 1.5 sacks and a tackle for loss among his five tackles on the day. This is Jones second consecutive week with more than one sack and is now at a career-high 3.5 sacks on the season.
