UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lion track & field program hits the road for the two-day Clemson Invitational hosted by Clemson University.

LAST TIME OUT - Nittany Lion Challenge
Penn State opened the 2018 indoor season posting two school records as well as multiple Big Ten top-10 marks, including five performances that lead the conference.

Bryce Williams and David Lucas stamped their names in the record books with their showing in the triple jump and weight throw, respectively.

Lucas recorded the No. 4 throw in the NCAA in the event this season with his mark of 21.52m (70'-7.25") on his second throw of the season breaking a four-year-old record set by All-American Will Barr in 2014.

Williams jumped his way out to a school record mark - currently No. 1 in the NCAA - of 16.24m (53'-3.50") in the triple jump erasing a 15-year-old record set by Chavous Nichols in 2003.

Colin Abert also turned in a solid meet with his NCAA-leading time of 4:02.50 in the Mile that was also a Nittany Lion Challenge Record.

HOME SWEET HOME

The Nittany Lions are set to welcome teams from across the nation into the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track as they host four meets during the 2018 indoor season.

The Nittany Lions return home to compete in the two day Penn State National Open Jan. 26-27.
