BREAKIN' RECORDS
Three school records have been broken thus far during the 2018 indoor campaign.

The first by Bryce Williams, who etched his name in the record books for his performance in the triple jump at the Nittany Lion Challenge. Williams, who entered the meet with a personal best of 15.75m (51'-8.25) indoor and 15.90m (52'-2") outdoor used his second jump of the meet to establish a new program record jumping out to a mark of 16.24m (53'-3.50"). The mark surpassed the program record of 16.17m (53'-0.75") set by Chavous Nichols set back in 2003.

The second by David Lucas, who set a new program record in the weight throw. Lucas entered the meet No. 5 all-time in the event but moved his name all the way to the top launching a throw of 21.52m (70'-7.25") to cement himself as one of the best to come through Penn State in the event and besting the mark of 21.50m (70'-6.50") set by All-American Will Barr in 2014.

The third by Danae Rivers, who stole the show laying down a school record performance - breaking her own mark set last year 2:04.04 - running 2:03.13 that currently leads the NCAA. Rivers was bested by only Adidas' Natoya Goule who finished in 1:59.86 but eclipsed the field by a full eight seconds over the next closest competitor.

Each of the aforementioned trio was named Big Ten Athlete of the Week following their performances.

FOUR-MINUTE SUCCESS
In five of the last six years, it took a sub-four-minute mile to win the invitational section of the men's mile.

2012 Jeff See 3:56.51
2013 Brannon Kidder 3:59.48
2014 Brannon Kidder 3:59.55
2015 Robert Denault 3:58.25
