UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - No. 7 Penn State men's volleyball continues EIVA play against George Mason (Main Gym) Friday, Feb. 23 at 7:00 p.m. ET, before taking on Charleston (WV) (South Gym) February 24 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

SCOUTING GEORGE MASON
George Mason is currently one of three undefeated teams in EIVA conference play. The Patriots are 2-0 in conference and 6-7 overall in 2018. George Mason is led by Hayden Wagner who has posted 112 kills and leads in service aces with 14 so far this season, while on the defensive side of the ball Johnny Gomez leads the team with 96 digs and Jack Reese is the team leader in total blocks with 42.
SCOUTING CHARLESTON (WV)
Charleston (WV) has gotten off to a historic start this season, currently undefeated in EIVA conference play and 7-1 overall. The Golden Eagles are led by Max Senica who has notched 81 kills in 2018, Anthony Rivera leads the team in assists (184) and service aces while Adriel Roberts leads in total blocks with 30 followed closely by Eugene Stuart with 28.
PENN STATE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Penn State is currently ranked in the top-25 in ve different team categories including a top-10 ranking in hitting percentage - .322 (sixth), and aces per set - 1.82 (sixth).
Individually, Jalen Penrose is the national leader in aces per set (0.67) with a season total of 25, Kevin Gear is No. 7 in hitting percentage (.417), and Luke Braswell is 12th in the nation in assists per set averaging 9.89.
NITTANY LIONS No. 7 IN LATEST AVCA POLL
Penn State enters week seven as the No. 7 team in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association DI-II (AVCA) poll. Penn State (8-2, 3-0) is coming off a 2-0 weekend vs. Sacred Heart and Harvard this past weekend in Rec Hall.
Long Beach State remained the No. 1 team in the nation receiving all 25 first-place votes with a record of 13-0, followed by UCLA at No. 2 (14-2), Hawai'i at No. 3 (8-1), Ohio State at No. 4 (11-2) and UC-Irvine at No. 5 (11-3) rounding out the top- ve.
PAVLIK KNOWS HOW TO WIN
In his 24th year at the helm of the program, head coach Mark Pavlik has amassed over 500 wins. Pavlik currently stands at 551-174 for his career.
