2017-18 B1G All-Conference Teams & Specialty Awards
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- With March Madness on the horizon, it is time to start handing out postseason honors and the Penn State women's basketball program saw a pair of student-athletes honors by the conference coaches and media on Monday (Feb. 26) when all-conference squads were announced.
Junior Teniya Page (Chicago, Ill.) earned her third-straight nod to the All-B1G squad, including her second-straight first-team selection, as she garnered first team All-Big Ten from the conference coaches and second team accolades from the media. Redshirt-sophomore Amari Carter (Washington, D.C.) garnered her first all-conference honors, as she was a second team choice by the conference coaches and an honorable mention pick from the media. Carter was also selected as Penn State's Sportsmanship honoree.
Page is the 11th Lady Lion to earn multiple nods to the All-Big Ten first team, with Maggie Lucas last earning multiple first-team nods during from 2012-14. Earning either first or second team All-Big Ten in each of her first three seasons, Page joins Maggie Lucas and Kelly Mazzante as the only Lady Lions in program history to earn a nod to the B1G first or second team in each of their first three seasons.
Carter becomes 34th Lady Lion to earn All-Big Ten honors and the 20th to garner a selection to the first of second team. With her nod to the second team and honorable mention honor, that runs Penn State's total to 95 total all-conference accolades earned by Lady Lions.
Penn State finished the regular season with a 15-14 overall record, including a 6-10 mark during the conference ledger. The Lady Lions earned the No. 11 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and open postseason play on Wednesday, Feb. 28 vs. No. 14 seed Illinois at approximately 4 p.m.

24 games played/22 starts, 33.4 minutes per game, 434 points (18.1 ppg), .398 field goal percentage (141-of-354), .333 3-point field goal percentage (30-of-90), .824 free throw percentage (122-of-148), 85 rebounds (3.5 rpg), 68 assists (2.8 apg), 1.4 assist-to-turnover ratio.

- Earns her third-career All-B1G nod after earning All-Big Ten second team during her rookie season and consensus first-team All-B1G as a sophomore.
- Joins Maggie Lucas and Kelly Mazzante as the only Lady Lions to earn first- or second-team All-Big Ten in each of their first three seasons.

- Ranks No 13 on the Penn State career scoring charts with 1,525 points, a total that sits No. 71 among active Division I scorers and 15th among the junior class.
- Ranks No. 8 in the Big Ten in overall points per game at 18.1, while her 18.5 scoring average in Big Ten games is No. 6 in the conference.
- Ranks No. 3 in the Big Ten No. 73 nationally with an 82.4 percent shooting clip from the free throw stripe.
- Enters the postseason ranking among active NCAA Division I career leaders in five categories: scoring average (13th), 3-point field goal percentage (21st), free throw percentage (43rd), free throws made (41st) and total points (71st).
- Her scoring efforts have produced 21 double-figure scoring games -- including 14-straight entering the Big Ten Tournament.
- Page has scored 20 points on 10 occasions in 2017-18, including a 34-point effort against Rutgers on Jan. 18, 2018.
- She has produced nine games this season with 10-plus points and 4-or-more assists.

29 games played/29 starts, 35.9 minutes per game, 419 points (14.4 ppg), .380 field goal percentage (156-of-410), .324 3-point field goal percentage (44-of-136), .808 free throw percentage (63-of-78), 102 rebounds (3.5 rpg), 106 assists, 78 steals, 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Notes:
- Earns her first career all-conference honor to become the 34th Lady Lion (95 occasions) to garner All-Big Ten honors in 26 seasons in the conference.
- Carter ranks No. 2 in the Big Ten in steals (78) and steals per game (2.6) entering the postseason.
- Is one of three B1G student-athletes to rank among the top-20 in scoring (14.4 ppg), assists (3.7 apg), steals (2.7 spg) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.2).
- With 106 assists and just 48 turnovers, Carter was one of four B1G ball handlers with over 100 assists and fewer than 50 turnovers in the regular season.
- Carter led the team in a bevy of categories throughout the regular season, pacing the squad in assists 18 times, steals in 16 games, scoring on seven occasions, rebounds three times and blocked shots three.
- Finished the regular season ranked No. 16 in scoring average at 14-4 points per game.
- On the season, Carter has 15 games with 3-plus steals, including nine such efforts in Big Ten play. She posted three-straight games with four steals from Jan. 3-Jan. 10 and had at least one steal in every Big Ten game this season.
