LAKE NONA, FLA.-- The Penn State women's tennis team will travel to the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla. The team will take on Memphis on Thursday, Mar. 8 at 12 p.m. and No. 36 UCF on Saturday, Mar. 10 at 12 p.m.
Penn State (5-6, 0-1 B1G) is continuing its spring break trip as they travel down to Florida. Penn State will play both matches at the USTA National Campus which features 100 courts.
Memphis (7-5, 0-1 AAC) is coming off of a 6-1 win over Stephen F. Austin. The match between Memphis and Penn State will be played at a neutral site for both teams.
UCF (8-2, 2-0 AAC) plays all home matches at the USTA National Campus. UCF is coming off of a 4-0 win against ECU and will take on ETSU on Wednesday, Mar. 7 before playing Penn State.
"It is nice to be in Florida and spend the beginning part of the week training for Memphis and UCF," said head coach Chris Cagle. "Last time we played Memphis it was a 4-3 close match a few years ago at their place. We have not played UCF in my time at Penn State, but we know they are a strong program. It should be a great week of tennis and we hope the Penn Staters in the Orlando area can come out for our matches."
There will be live streaming available for the matches. Links to live streaming and stats will be posted on both Facebook and Twitter prior to the match.
These two matches will be the conclusion of the Nittany Lion's spring break trip. Looking ahead, the team will return home and take on Big Ten opponent Iowa on Wednesday, Mar. 14 at 6 p.m.
