Round Two Results
GREENSOBORO, Ga. - The Penn State men's golf team remains in third place at 9-under after two rounds at the Linger Longer Invitational with a team total of 1-over 289 in the second round on the Lake Reynolds Oconee Great Waters Course.
"We had some tougher hole locations today and we hit the ball out of play too many times which is tough to recover from," said Penn State head coach Greg Nye. "But we hung in there and we have an opportunity tomorrow."
The Nittany Lion's low round on the day was a 2-under 70 by sophomore Alec Bard (New Hartford, N.Y.) which matches a career low. Bard is 4-over for the tournament.
Individually, Penn State has two competitors in the hunt with senior Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) tied for fourth at 6-under and junior Charles Huntzinger (Duluth, Ga.) is at 2-under which has him tied for 13th.
