Calvin Mende
// Redshirt-sophomore Calvin Mende posted his first 20-kill match of the season and fourth of his career with 20 successful swings at Sacred Heart.
// He reached double-digits in the kill column for the sixth-straight match.
// Mende also posted his second 20-point match of the season, totaling a season-best 22.5 points (20 kills, 2.5 block points).
// He also tied his season high with five blocks, equaling his mark at Princeton (3/3) and vs. BYU (3/8).
Kevin Gear
// Redshirt-senior Kevin Gear posted a season-best eight blocks on the afternoon vs. the Pioneers.
// The eight blocks are a team-best effort this season, as well, eclipsing the seven-block efforts by Jalen Penrose (vs. BYU; 3/8) and Jason Donorovich (vs. Fort Wayne; 2/3).
// Gear also collected a career-high-tying five digs, doing so for the third time in his career, last vs. Saint Francis (Pa.) (4/22/17).

// Redshirt-sophomore Jason Donorovich posted a career-high three service aces, entering the match with just five career aces from the service line.

// Redshirt-junior Lee Smith posted a season-best five blocks at Sacred Heart. The five blocks equaled his season total entering the match.

// Penn State improved to 12-8 overall and 7-2 in EIVA play.
// In the all-time series with Sacred Heart, Penn State is now 14-2 all-time, including a 6-1 mark in Fairfield, Conn.
// The Nittany Lions are now 10-1 when winning the opening set and 7-0 when claiming the opening two sets of a match.
