Day One Results
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Penn State men's golf team sits in fifth place after a shortened day one at the Kepler Intercollegiate on Saturday on the Ohio State Golf Club Scarlet Course.
After a frost delay pushed tee times back to 9 a.m., the Nittany Lions were able to complete the opening two rounds. Not all competitors were able to make their way around the course twice to complete the scheduled two rounds when play was suspended at 8 p.m.
At the completion of day one, Penn State is in fifth place at 9-over, just six strokes off the lead.
Sophomore Ryan Davis (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) led the way carding an even-par 71 followed by a 2-under 69 in round two. Davis is in fourth place individually at 2-under-par for the tournament.
Senior Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) sits in a tie for fifth individually after firing a 3-under 68 in round one, followed by a 3-over 74 to sit at even-par for the tournament.
Illinois is the current leader at 3-over, but the Illini could not complete their second round Saturday.
Round two will resume at 8:30 a.m. Sunday with the final round to immediately follow the conclusion of the round. Live scoring will be available here.
