ANN ARBOR, Mich. ââ'¬" Michigan was strong in all phases in a 14-2 win over Penn State in Big Ten baseball action Sunday afternoon in Ray Fisher Stadium.

Michigan (23-11, 11-0 Big Ten) extended its winning streak to 20 games. First baseman Jesse Franklin led the Wolverines with four RBIs, going 2-for-5 with a three-run home run. Left fielder Jordan Nwogu drove in a pair of runs, including a solo home run, while third baseman Blake Nelson and catcher Harrison Salter also had two-RBI games. On the mound, RHP Karl Kauffmann (5-2) struck out 11 in seven innings, allowing just one run on three hits and a walk.

Penn State (8-25, 1-14 Big Ten) scored in the top of the seventh inning on a pair of back-to-back, two-out doubles by left fielder Braxton Giavedoni (Punxsutawney, Pa.) and right fielder Kris Kremer (Hershey, Pa.), and in the ninth on an error.

Michigan took a 3-0 lead in the first inning, taking advantage of a pair of walks and a pair of errors. Franklin singled in one of the runs, another scored on an error and Nwogu drove in the final run on a sacrifice fly. Nwogu then struck again in the third inning with a two-out solo home run. Penn State again committed a pair of errors in the fourth, and Franklin hit a three-run home run to highlight a five-run frame and give the Wolverines a 9-0 lead. Michigan batted around in the sixth for five more runs and a 14-0 lead.

Penn State returns home to face Bucknell Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
