PENN STATE CONCLUDES NONCONFERENCE SCHEDULE
The Penn State softball team will play its final nonconference contests of the 2018 season when Bucknell travels to University Park, Pennsylvania Wednesday, April 25 for a 5 p.m. doubleheader at Nittany Lion Softball Park and Beard Field.

SERIES HISTORY WITH BUCKNELL
Penn State has dominated the all-time series with the Bison, 31-6, having won the last eight meetings. Last season, the Nittany Lions swept Bucknell in a mid-week doubleheader at Beard Field with a 1-0 win in game one and a 6-5 victory in game two. Toni Polk drove in the one run of the game in game one, going 2-for-3 at the plate, while Delaney Elling drove in three runs on two hits and scored once in game two of the doubleheader. Madison Shaffer earned the victory in game two, going 5.0 innings and striking out two.

SCOUTING THE BISON
Bucknell has had a successful 2018 campaign under the direction of first year head coach Joey Lye. The Bison are 23-19-1 overall this season and 12-3 in Patriot League action. As a team, Bucknell is hitting .277 with both Lauren Hadley and Meghan Kovac hitting above .300. Hadley leads the Bison offense with a .370 batting average that included 50 hits, seven doubles, seven home runs and 29 RBI and has also stolen 14 bases on 17 attempts, while Kovac has 42 hits, 12 home runs and 38 RBI. In the circle, Reanne Geffert as emerged as the ace, throwing 156.2 innings in 31 appearances. Geffert has tossed 11 complete games and struck out 133 batters this season for the Bison.

LEGG FINDING THE LONG BALL
Recently, sophomore Kennedy Legg has found some big hits when getting up to bat for the Nittany Lions. Legg, a transfer from Ole Miss, has three home runs this season, which ranks second on the team. This past weekend at Indiana, the sophomore catcher added her third round-tripper of the season on a ball off the right field foul pole. In her first season donning the Blue and White, Legg has 18 hits and 11 RBI.

LEHOTAK TALLIES WIN NO. 100 AT PENN STATE
With Penn State's series opening win over Maryland, head coach Amanda Lehotak picked up her 100th win at Penn State. Furthermore, the win marked the 289th career win for the Lehotak. Lehotak is in her fifth season with the Nittany Lions, leading Penn State to a Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal appearance in 2017 and a semifinal appearance in 2016. Under Lehotak's tenure, the Blue and White had its most successful season in 2016 since 2011, winning 30 games and finishing fourth in the Big Ten Conference. The team has also broken multiple hitting and pitching records in her five seasons with the Nittany Lions.

ON DECK
Penn State closes out its 2018 home schedule Friday, April 27-Sunday, April 29 when it welcomes Illinois for a three-game Big Ten Conference series. The Nittany Lions and the Fighting Illini will play game one at 8 p.m. and will be featured on the Big Ten Network, while game two is set for Saturday, April 28 at 3 p.m. and the series finale will be Sunday, April 29 at noon.
