UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men's golf alumnus Cole Miller has been selected an honorable-mention PING All-American for the second-straight year. The All-America teams are selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The All-America list included Miller, a two-time All-Big Ten and four-time All-Northeast Region selection, and three other Big Ten Conference golfers.
From New Tripoli, Pa., Miller is competing in events as a professional on the PGA Canada Mackenzie Tour and recently played in the 118th U.S. Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y.. Miller compiled a two-day total of 152, just behind Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and Bubba Watson.
Penn State's career scoring leader with an average of 72.11 over 165 rounds in four years, Miller won the 2017 NCAA Washington Regional and helped lead the Nittany Lions to their fifth NCAA Championship Finals appearance. He finished as the runnerup for the 2018 Big Ten Conference championship, won the Rutherford Intercollegiate in his senior season and was a major contributor for the Nittany Lions as they participated in four-straight NCAA Regionals during his career.
