UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State men's basketball season ticket renewal and new order process for 2018-19 is underway. Current season ticket holders have until Friday, Aug. 3 to renew their tickets for the upcoming season. Deposits on new orders placed through Aug. 3 will allow new season ticket holders to be included in the seat selection process.
Season ticket holders were notified today (July 9) of the start of the renewal process.
Select seating locations will see a price increase for the 2018-19 season. A color-coded map of price breakdowns is available here.
Season ticket prices for baseline bowl seats are $185 each for the 15 regular-season contests plus a preseason exhibition game in the Bryce Jordan Center. Floor-level seats along the baseline, new last season, will remain at their introductory price of $265 each. This price does not include courtside seats.
A season ticket for the sideline lower event seating area in the bowl in 2018-19 will be $285 while the sideline event area will be $255. Both these locations have sold out on a season ticket basis for several years.
Three options for courtside seating - closest to the action -- are listed for 2018-19 with padded endline seats at $550 each and padded sideline seats at $750 each. Courtside seats opposite the teams' benches at $1,000 each offer an extraordinary experience with the convenience of a table for enjoying concessions items. This is the first increase in courtside seat pricing since courtside seats were installed.
More than 200 new season ticket deposits have already been placed.
Men's basketball season ticket holders enjoy a savings benefit versus the price of single-game ticket purchases as well as complimentary parking, a value of $80. Single-game, special event and postseason ticket purchase priority, and an invitation to a preseason open practice with the Nittany Lions are just some of the season ticket holder benefits.
New for the 2018-19 season, season ticket holders can choose whether they would like to utilize mobile ticketing or if they would like to have their tickets printed and mailed. Fans who select the mobile ticketing option will see a $10 reduction in the annual handling fee to $5 for the mobile service. Fans who elect to have their season tickets printed will continue to pay the annual handling fee of $15, the same price as previous seasons.
Mobile ticketing offers the ability to manage, transfer or sell men's basketball tickets at any time via the mobile app or mobile website accessed on a smartphone. Tickets are easily accessible via the mobile system and cannot be lost, stolen or subject to counterfeit practices.
In an effort to increase the security of the ticket buying and event entry process, "Print at Home" PDF tickets will no longer be issued or accepted for men's basketball games at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Renewals can be made through the Penn State Athletics Account Manager while new account orders should be initiated by calling 1-800-NITTANY weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Penn State is scheduled to open its 2018-19 campaign with home games vs. North Florida on Friday, Nov. 9 and Jacksonville State on Monday, Nov. 12 as part of its participation in the divisional matchups for the Cancun Challenge. Opening night festivities on Nov. 9 will include a pre-game ceremony to raise the 2018 NIT Championship banner.
The Nittany Lions will have three home games each in the months of November and December with the Big Ten/ACC Challenge contest vs. Virginia Tech on Tuesday, Nov. 27. December's three games, two non-conference opponents and a Big Ten Conference foe, will be announced later this summer.
Earlier this year, the league announced seven "double play" and six "single play" opponents for each Big Ten team as it moves to an expanded 20-game conference slate. Penn State will play Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Purdue, Rutgers and Wisconsin in the BJC in 2018-19.
The Nittany Lions, who finished the 2017-18 season with an overall mark of 26-13, the second-highest win total in program history, advanced to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals and earned seven wins in March en route to the 2018 NIT Championship. Penn State is scheduled to return three starters and welcomes five newcomers for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
