BTN Announces Field Hockey and Soccer TV Dates

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Penn State women's soccer, men's soccer, and field hockey teams are set to be featured in five Big Ten Network (BTN) broadcasts during the regular season, as announced by the Big Ten Conference.

The Penn State women's soccer team will be shown three times on BTN, which includes two matches at Jeffrey Field. The Nittany Lions will travel to Northwestern on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. in a rematch of the 2017 Big Ten Tournament Championship match in which Penn State won, 2-1.

A week later, Penn State hosts Nebraska on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. Last year, Penn State and Nebraska played to a 1-1 draw in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Finally, Penn State will host Rutgers on Sunday, Oct. 14 for a 3 p.m. match. The two teams met twice last season in Piscataway, New Jersey, with both matches ending in a 0-0 draw. In the second matchup of the season - the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament - Penn State outlasted Rutgers, 4-3, in penalty kicks.

Women's Soccer BTN Schedule
Sept. 20 at Northwestern, 8 p.m.
Sept. 27 vs. Nebraska, 6 p.m.
Oct. 14 vs. Rutgers, 3 p.m.

The Penn State men's soccer team, under first-year head coach Jeff Cook, will be featured on the Big Ten Network when it travels to Maryland on Tuesday, Oct. 23 for a 6 p.m. contest. Last season, the Nittany Lions fell to the then-No. 3 Terrapins, 0-2.

Head coach Char Morett-Curtiss' women's field hockey team will have one contest on the BTN. The Nittany Lions will host Maryland on Sunday, Oct. 7, at noon at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex in a key Big Ten match-up. Penn State split with Maryland last season, dropping a 2-1 overtime game on the road before rebounding to win 3-2 in the Big Ten semifinals in November.

All 14 Big Ten schools will be featured during the conference's fall sports television schedule, with BTN and FS1 broadcasts also streamed through the BTN2Go digital platform and the FOX Sports mobile app. Additional Big Ten fall sports contests may be televised on BTN Plus, with information on those broadcasts will be made available on BTN2Go.com at a later date.
