Melissa Boldt began working for Penn State as a strength and conditioning coach in August 2011.

Boldt graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a bachelor's degree in health promotion and wellness. She continued her education at Springfield College, where she received a master's degree in exercise science: strength and conditioning concentration. While at Springfield College, Boldt served as a strength and conditioning graduate associate working directly with women's track and field, baseball, men's soccer, women's volleyball, women's lacrosse, and assisted with football. As part of her postgraduate work, Boldt interned with Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.

Upon graduation, Boldt interned at Harvard University serving as the head strength and conditioning coach for men's and women's diving, alpine and nordic ski teams. She was also responsible for assisting the head strength and conditioning coach with the implementation of training programs for a variety of other sport teams at Harvard. More recently, Boldt worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Delaware. She was the head strength and conditioning coach for men's soccer, field hockey, women's lacrosse, softball, women's track and field, and women's cross country. In addition, she assisted the head strength and conditioning coach with Football.

At Penn State, Boldt works as the head strength and conditioning coach for men's soccer, men's volleyball and men's and women's track and field. She is from New Berlin, Wisconsin.
