Team Education
Upon a coach's request, a Sports Nutritionist is available to provide information to teams on a variety of topics, including:
- Pre- or Post-competition/training meals
- Eating for energy
- Eating for recovery
- Hydration
- Weight loss
- Weight/muscle gain
- Nutrition for injury prevention
- Meal planning
- Grocery shopping
- Dietary supplements
Team education is designed to increase the nutrition knowledge of student-athletes, and topics presented are specific to the team goals.
Grocery Store Tours
Grocery store tours are useful for athletes who are not quite sure how to shop to meet their goals. A Sports Nutritionist will accompany the student-athlete to their grocery store of choice and give a brief tour of where to find performance-friendly foods in the facility. Not only will the Sports Nutritionist provide answers to the "What should I eat?" question, but they will provide the "Why?" as well.
