Rated a three-star prospect by all four major recruiting outlets: 247Sports.com, ESPN, Rivals.com and Scout.com, Monroe helped lead St. John's College Prep to a 6-4 record in the competitive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC). He participated in the 2015 Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl on Jan. 4. Monroe recorded five pass breakups, three forced fumbles and an interception as a senior. He also blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown on special teams in 2014. He is ranked 21st among safeties by 247Sports.com and is the third-best player in Washington D.C., while ESPN has him 40th among safeties and fifth in Washington D.C. Rivals.com rates Monroe as the sixth-best player in the Washington D.C. area and 55th nationally among safeties.
