UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.-- Penn State men's basketball season ticket holders will begin selecting their seats for the 2018-19 season on Wednesday, Aug. 22. Fans who purchased season tickets and renewed their commitment to Nittany Lion basketball earlier this month are eligible to keep their current seats or view options for relocation and upgrades. Using the Virtual VenueTM interactive site for the Bryce Jordan Center, fans can view and compare seating options for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
More than 90 percent of last year's men's basketball season ticket holders have already renewed their seats for the upcoming season.
The seat selection process begins Wednesday, Aug. 22, and continues through 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 26. Current or new basketball season ticket holders who reserved tickets for the 2018-19 season may log into their ticket account manager to start the process at their designated selection time. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis with options for upgrading to a new section or relocating.
Thomas Renehan has been a lifelong fan of Nittany Lion basketball, and this summer, he was the first season ticket holder to renew his seats for the upcoming season.
"As young boys in the late 1950s and early 1960s, my friends and I spent many happy hours in Rec Hall, playing our sports and attending college basketball games," recalled Renehan. "I became a Penn State basketball fan in 1956 at age nine and attended most of the home games from that point through 1969, when I graduated from college."
After a long career as a lawyer in Philadelphia, Renehan is now retired and living again in State College.
"My sweetheart and I are devoted season ticket holders," Renehan said. "We love Penn State basketball!"
The Nittany Lions open the 2018-19 campaign on Friday, Nov. 9 with the first of two regional games connected with the Cancun Challenge. An expanded 10-game Big Ten Conference home schedule is part of the 15-game regular-season slate at the BJC. The Big Ten Conference schedule will be announced soon along with tipoff times and promotions for all games.
