Howe & Hughes Finish in Top 10 of PA Open

LANCASTER, Pa. – Penn State assistant men's golf coach TJ Howe and Nittany Lion rising senior JD Hughes finished among the top 10 individuals in the 102nd Pennsylvania Open at Lancaster Country Club. Howe finished in a tie for fourth with a three-round total 209 (67-72-70) and Hughes tied for 10th overall.

Hughes shared the amateur low score with two others with a 36-hole score of 211 (+1). From Carlisle, Pa., Hughes registered 10 birdies for the three-day tournament, three on his final nine holes. He also made an eagle on his first day of competition, one of only six total recorded during the three-day tournament.

The Penn State men's golf team will begin its fall competition at the Rod Myers Invitational at the Duke University Golf Club Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 8-9.
