UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Freshman Kim Dubs (Zurich, Switzerland) has garnered a pair of weekly awards on Tuesday, Sept. 18. Dubs was tabbed the Big Ten Freshman of the Week and was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week. Both awards are the first of her career.
In then-No. 21 Penn State's 4-0 win over Ohio State on Friday, Sept. 14, Dubs scored the opening goal and tallied an assist on the second goal of the match. On the night, Dubs recorded a career-best three points.
The No. 20 Nittany Lions travel to Evanston, Illinois, to take on the No. 21 Northwestern Wildcats live on the Big Ten Network on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 8 p.m. (EDT). Following the match at Northwestern, Penn State heads to Champaign, Illinois, to play Illinois on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. (EDT).
