UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Sept. 22, 2018 – Penn State Nittany Lion wrestler Brady Berge (Mantorville, Minn.), training at the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club Olympic Training Center, will return to the United States with as a world Bronze Medalist after representing the U.S. at the Junior World Championships in Trnava, Slovakia.
Berge, competing at 70 kg, rebounded from a hard-fought first round loss to Razambek Zhamalov of Russia. He posted a dominating 13-2 win over Aleksander Kuryshta of Belarus to advance to the Bronze Medal match. He notched a 1-1 criteria win over Arman Andreasyan of Armenia to claim Bronze.
Berge, who competed unattached as a true freshman last season, will be a redshirt freshman for the Nittany Lions during the 2018-19 campaign.
