Singles Main Draw | Doubles Main Draw | Singles Qualifying Draw
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.-- The Penn State women's tennis team is preparing to head to Lynchburg, Va. to the ITA Atlantic Regional tournament hosted by Liberty University, from Oct. 12-16. The matches will take place at the Cook Tennis Center on the Hershey-Esbenshade Tennis Courts.
Eight Nittany Lions will be traveling to compete in both singles and doubles at the regional competition.
Shannon Hanley (Kensington, Md.), Samantha Smith (Cary, N.C.), Frederikke Svarre (Copenhagen, Denmark), Chelsea Sawyer (Clemmons, N.C.) and Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N.S. Wales, Australia) will all be competing in the main draw for singles. Main draw singles play starts on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Olivia Rohrbacher (Sandusky, Ohio) will be competing in the qualifying draw for singles. Rohrbacher's matches will begin Friday at 9 a.m.
Sydney Weinberg (Winchester, Mass.) and Olivia Ryan (Victoria, Australia) will be competing in extra matches in singles throughout the tournament.
In doubles, all four Nittany Lion pairings will be in the main draw, beginning Friday at 2 p.m. The doubles pairings include, Hanley/Smith, Rohrbacher/Svarre, O'Gorman/Sawyer and Ryan/Weinberg.
"Regionals is always an important tournament for us each year," said head coach Chris Cagle. "The team has been preparing hard to be ready to play well and implement the things that we have been working on in practice. Alexandra [Anghelescu] and I look forward to seeing how each player and team is progressing at this point in the fall. We expect tough competition, but we also expect to be prepared for the competition both mentally and physically!"

Up next, the Nittany Lions will finish out their season at the Kitty Harrison Invitational hosted by the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. from Nov. 2-4.
