UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men's basketball coach Patrick Chambers announced the signing of four student-athletes for the class of 2019. Patrick Kelly, Seth Lundy, Justin McKoy and Abdou Tsimbila have signed their National Letters of Intent to enroll at Penn State and play for the Nittany Lions.
 
"Versatility defines this 2019 class," Chambers said. "These student-athletes are the perfect fit for the style of basketball we want to play and they believe in what we are building at Penn State. The credit goes to our staff for assembling this impressive class and we are thrilled to welcome these young men and their families to our family."
 
Patrick Kelly, a 6-8, 210-lb. forward from Lynchburg, Virginia, who is currently at IMG Academy and playing on the Post-Graduate team in 2018-19, was the first student-athlete in the class of 2019 to commit to Penn State. A member of the AAU Team Loaded squad that won the 2018 championship, he was an all-conference selection in both basketball and football at Virginia Episcopal School (VES) and was voted the Bishops' MVP.
 
A Rivals.com three-star prospect, Kelly averaged double figures in scoring and 7.0 rebounds per game as a junior at VES. In addition to his athletics achievements, Kelly was selected by students and faculty, and appointed by the headmaster, to serve on Consular Body and Alpha Order at VES, a group of seniors who represents the best of the institution. This group serves as ambassadors for VES, these students are resident advisors and duty team members.
 
Seth Lundy, the Philadelphia Daily News/Inquirer Player of the Year and a member of the USA Today's ALL-USA Pennsylvania Boys Basketball team, is a 6-6, 200-lb. forward from Paulsboro, N.J. Lundy earned a four-star rating from 247sports.com and ESPN and is ranked as the No. 3 player in Pennsylvania.
 
A first-team All-State and two-time All-Catholic first-team selection, Lundy helped lead Roman Catholic to the Catholic League championship and the team's third  Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Athletic Association (PIAA) state championship in 2017-18. Lundy averaged 16.4 points and 8.7 rebounds as a junior for the Cahillites, including 28 points in the title game. He eclipsed the 1,000 career point milestone as a junior.
 
Lundy played for AAU Team Final in 2018 and led Philly Pride in 2017.
 
Justin McKoy, the No. 11 player in the state of North Carolina, earned numerous accolades, including a spot on the Raleigh News & Observer's All-Metro team as a junior, averaging more than 21 points and nine rebounds per game at Panther Creek High School. From Raleigh, N.C., McKoy, a 6-8, 225-lb. forward, is a three-time All-Triangle 6 Conference pick and an All-District pick for the Catamounts.
 
A 2017 John Wall All-Tournament team member, McKoy averaged 24 points and eight rebounds in the holiday event. The year prior, he was selected to the Leon Brogden All-Tournament team while averaging 20.5 points and nine rebounds per game in his sophomore season. McKoy played for AAU Team Loaded North Carolina.
 
A native of Yaoundé, Cameroon, Rivals.com three-star prospect Abdou Tsimbila will enroll at Penn State after spending two years at St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown, Maryland. A first-team All-Washington County pick, Tsimbila played for AAU Team Mid-Atlantic Select. At 6-8, 220-lbs., Tsimbila helped the Gaels to Baltimore Catholic League wins with seven points, 13 rebounds and five blocks vs. Loyola and a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds vs. John Carroll.
 
The Nittany Lions (2-0) visit DePaul Thursday at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. The contest will air on FS1, with audio on GoPSUsports.com and the Penn State Sports Network.
