MADISON, Wis. – The No. 22 Penn State women's cross country team ran to a 20th-place finish at the 2018 NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. As a team, the Nittany Lions finished with an overall score of 482 points.
"It was another solid performance from the Penn State women at the NCAA Cross Country Championships," head coach John Gondak said. "It was our fourth year in a row with a top-20 finish, which is something only eight other schools in the country can say they've done that as well over the last four years. I'm proud of efforts from this team this season, and I am looking forward to the upcoming track & field campaign."
With Penn State's top-20 finish in the women's race, the Nittany Lions are one of nine teams to finish in the top-20 in each of the past four seasons.
