UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State (9-3, 6-3) gets set to take on the Kentucky Wildcats (9-3, 5-3 SEC) in the 2019 VRBO Citrus Bowl. The game is slated for 1 p.m. on ABC, ESPN Radio or the Penn State Sports Network. Here's what we learned from Saturday's media availability.

Senior Sendoff
With this being the final game for several Penn State greats, Nick Scott and Trace McSorley discussed their main focus leading up to the VRBO Citrus Bowl. "My main focus is to make sure that I go out 1-0 this week. That's something that's been preached to me my entire career," Nick Scott stated. "You know, obviously, I'm cherishing these moments with my teammates, the guys I came in with, as well as the younger guys. I've been so blessed. One of the reasons why I love this game and this university is because of the number of opportunities that I've had through playing football here at Penn State."

Trace McSorley added: "I'm extremely grateful and extremely thankful for the opportunity the coaches gave me to even come to a school like Penn State and an opportunity to play on the field and for putting me in good situations to be able to be successful. My teammates have been incredible all the way through. So, I'm just extremely thankful for the opportunity that I had here and I'm looking forward to finishing out strong."

Veteran Consistency
Come January 1, Trace McSorley will make his 40th consecutive start for the Nittany Lions. "It was always my goal to come in and be one of the best quarterbacks in Penn State history. That's something that I had set a goal personally when I got to school," McSorley stated. "My first real game was actually in Florida, (and it's) come full circle. My last one is going to be in the state of Florida. It's just been a great ride."

Quarterback Keeper
We've heard all about running back Benny Snell but another threat on the ground is quarterback Terry Wilson. How critical will it be to limit him as a runner? "We have the good fortune of seeing that every day in practice. It changes your game plan, your approach, when you have a dual threat guy and he's — you know, not only is he able to run, he's got tremendous size," defensive coordinator Brent Pry said. "he's certainly a factor in what we have to do to play good defense in the game."
