This was the 47th matchup between Penn State and Wisconsin and of the last seven meetings, the only one decided by more than eight points. Wisconsin leads the overall series 37-10 and continued its win steak against Penn State now with 11.
 
Penn State falls to 7-8 on the season and with an 0-4 mark in the Big Ten.
 
This was only Penn State's second loss in the Bryce Jordan Center this season, both coming in conference games, with the first vs. Indiana on Dec. 4, 2018.
 
Tonight's game marked the largest loss of the 2018-19 season for the Nittany Lions (19), as six of the last seven losses were decided by three possessions or less.

Penn State outrebounded Wisconsin 35-33. Tonight marked the 10th time the Nittany Lions have outrebounded their opponents this season.
 
Ethan Happ, Wisconsin's leading scorer on the season, who tied Lamar Stevens for the game-high scoring total with 22 points, was held to just two made field goals on his first 10 attempts.

With 22 points against the Badgers, junior forward Lamar Stevens moved to the No. 17 spot on Penn State's all-time scoring list, now with 1,307 points. The North Wales, Pennsylvania, native passed both Calvin Booth (1,288 points from 1994-99) and Brandon Taylor (1,289 points from 2012-16).
 
With his 22-point effort, Lamar Stevens has now recorded 10 or more points in all 15 of Penn State's games this season and has scored in double figures for 22 consecutive games dating back to the 2017-18 season.
 
Stevens scored 20 or more points in a game for the 22nd time in his career.
 
Redshirt junior Mike Watkins hauled in the 600th rebound of his career seven minutes into the second half and now has 601. He became only the 21st Nittany Lion to surpass the 600-rebound milestone.
 
Watkins grabbed a total of 10 rebounds against Wisconsin, marking his fourth game this season and 28th career game with double figures in the rebounding category. He has led the Nittany Lions in rebounding 41 times in his career.
 
Freshman guard Myles Dread had three 3-point field goals to bring his season total to 30. Dread and Bolton have 61 of Penn State's 106 treys this season.
