UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State softball team will once again host their community practice on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Holuba Hall.
"We're excited for our fans to come out on Sunday and have an early look at our 2019 team," said head coach Amanda Lehotak. "It's a great chance for the Nittany Lion faithful to meet the team before the season starts and for the team to see how much support they have heading into the start of the season. We look forward to this event each year and we know our fans do too."
The open practice starts with team warm-up at 8 a.m. and the scrimmage first pitch schedule for 8:30 a.m. The practice will conclude at approximately 10:15 a.m. with the remaining time open for autographs and photo opportunities with the 2019 squad.
Free home schedule posters will be given away along with donuts provided by the Penn State Softball Booster Club. There will be a photo booth set up as well as a caricature artist, face painter and airbrush tattoo station for fans to take advantage of.
IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions will also be on site selling season tickets.
The free event is open to all members of the public. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs to sit in to watch practice.
