BRONX, N.Y. – Penn State track & field's Danae Rivers ran the 10th-fastest collegiate time in history in the women's mile with a time of 4:29.47 at the 112th NYRR Millrose Games Saturday afternoon at the Armory Track & Field Center.
Rivers broke her own Penn State record with her performance in the NYRR Wanamaker Mile race and her third record of the 2019 indoor season, after setting Penn State's marks in the 800-meter and 1,000-meter runs this year. Heading into Sunday, the time is the No. 1 time in the nation.

Rivers trimmed more than three seconds off her previous best time of 4:32.55 in the mile. The Derby, Conn., native currently owns four Penn State indoor records.
