Big Ten Announces Lacrosse National Broadcast Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Men's and Women's Lacrosse programs, off to undefeated starts, will be featured multiple times on national networks this Spring.  The men's program will be shown on three Big Ten Network broadcasts and one ESPNU broadcast, while the women's program will be highlighted three times on Big Ten Network and twice on ESPNU.
 
The teams will combine for six events broadcasted at Panzer Stadium.  The new stadium state-of-the-art press box allows for full broadcasting capabilities for multiple television and radio outlets.
 
The Men's Lacrosse team, led by Head Coach Jeff Tambroni, will first appear on Big Ten Network on Sunday, March 31 at Maryland at 7 p.m.  Nittany Lion home games against Ohio State, on April 7 at 7 p.m., and Rutgers on April 27 at 2:30 p.m. will be shown on Big Ten Network.  PSU's April 21 contest against Johns Hopkins, at noon, will be broadcast on ESPNU.
 
The Nittany Lions are ranked No. 2 in the nation by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches Poll, Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and US Lacrosse Magazine/Nike Media Poll. The Nittany Lions are off to a 3-0 start with wins over Villanova (17-7), Robert Morris (27-10) and Stony Brook (17-4). 
 
The Women's Lacrosse team, coached by Missy Doherty, opens the Big Ten's ESPNU broadcast schedule on March 21 at Panzer Stadium vs. No. 2 Maryland at 5 p.m.  Penn State will also be featured on ESPNU on Friday, April 19 at No. 17 Johns Hopkins at 5 p.m.  PSU will be highlighted on Big Ten Network on March 28 at No. 4 Northwestern at 7 p.m., April 4 against Ohio State at 7 p.m. and April 27 against Rutgers at 11 a.m.
 
The Nittany Lions are No. 10 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Poll and Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.  Penn State is ranked 11th in the Nike/US Lacrosse Poll.  The blue and white are 2-0 after starting the season with wins over No. 11 Towson (13-7) and Lehigh (15-5).
 
The men's lacrosse team travels to Yale on Saturday for a 1 p.m. matchup.  The women's lacrosse team travels to Duquesne on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. contest and Cornell on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
