UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Due to forecasted rains in Cary, North Carolina, Penn State is pushing its four-game baseball series against Fairfield at the USA Baseball National Training Complex back one day. The Nittany Lions will now play games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and game times will be determined later based on the weather.
The series was originally slated to take place Friday-Sunday with two games on Saturday. Penn State enters the series 3-0 after sweeping Monmouth at the same facility this past weekend. The series will be the season opener for Fairfield.
