HOW IT HAPPENED
First Period

  • Penn State struck first just past the halfway mark of the first period. Anna Promersberger won a puck battle behind the RMU net and moved the puck to the slot area. Brooke Madsen came swooped in and scored on one touch to give the Nittany Lions a 1-0 lead at 11:39. It was her fourth goal of the season and Promersberger's third assist.
  • Robert Morris wasted little time tying the game back at one. Emily Curlett's shot from the right point found the left corner of the cage at 11:53 for her ninth of the season.
  • The Nittany Lions had a power-play try after a hooking call on Robert Morris, but did not find the net on two shots on goal.

  • Shots on goal: Robert Morris 8, Penn State 7
