UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The 36th Annual Spring Ice Show will take place at Pegula Ice Arena Sunday, April 14 at 5:00 p.m. This year's show is titled "Life's Frozen Moments" and will celebrate life's special moments from childhood to independence and love.
The show will feature skaters from the Pegula Ice Arena Learn to Skate program, the Penn State Figure Skating Team, and the local Nittany Valley Figure Skating Club.
In addition to the local talent, competitive pair skaters Jessica Pfund and Joshua Santillan will be performing in the show. Both Jessica and Josh have won national medals in their singles careers and together they have an international bronze medal from the Challenger Series Events. They placed fifth at the 2017 U.S. Championships and have competed together in multiple grand prix series events. Jessica and Josh train at the prestigious pair program at the Southwest Florida Figure Skating Club headed by two-time Olympian Lyndon Johnston.
"We are really looking forward to sharing this year's show with the community, and are especially excited to welcome pairs skaters, Joshua and Jessica as a very unique and special treat. It's going to be an evening of great skating, favorite songs and memorable moments." said Show Director, Jess McCormick.
