UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 1 Penn State men's lacrosse team heads to Ann Arbor, Michigan to take on the University of Michigan at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at the University of Michigan Lacrosse Field.

THE MATCH-UP
Penn State and Michigan have matched up seven times in the history of the two programs, with Penn State leading 6-1. However, Michigan took the 2018 game, 10-9 in overtime.
In 2018, Despite trailing early, Penn State was able to take a 7-5 lead into the fourth period. However, the Wolverines would out-scored Penn State, 5-2, over the fourth period and overtime combined to take the game.
Penn State saw senior midfield Ryan Keenan net four goals to lead the Nittany Lion offense, and five other players scored for the Penn State attack. The starting attack trio of Mac O'Keefe, Nick Spillane, and Dylan Foulds each found the back of the cage once, while freshman midfielder Jack Kelly, who made his first appearance since March 3, added one of his own. Defenseman Chris Sabia was able to find the score for a pole goal.
Junior Robby Black dished out a career-best two assists, while freshman Brian Townsend added one as well.
Defensively, Sabia was impressive all around, recorded three caused turnovers and added four ground balls. His fellow defenseman Michael Aronow also added three caused turnovers and scooped up one ground ball.
In the cage, Colby Kneese recorded 10 saves and added two ground balls.

WEEK 8 ROUND-UP
The No. 1 Penn State men's lacrosse team walked away with a 13-8 victory over No. 7 Ohio State on rainy Sunday night at Panzer Stadium to move to 9-1, 2-0 in Big Ten action.
The Nittany Lions found success on both offense and defense to find their first Big Ten home win. Penn State moves to 17-6 all-time against Ohio State and stretches its win streak over the Buckeyes to four.
Leading the way for Penn State on the offensive end was junior attackman Mac O'Keefe and sophomore midfielder Cole Willard who both collected hat tricks.
With his third goal on the night, O'Keefe tied Will Driscoll's (1999-2002) Penn State career goals record of 127.
O'Keefe and Willard were just two of eight total Nittany Lions to find the back of the Buckeyes' net. Freshman attackman TJ Malone, senior midfielder Nick Spillane, redshirt junior attackman Dylan Foulds, redshirt freshman midfielder Dan Reaume and sophomore midfielder Brian Townsend also found the back of the net.
Redshirt Junior Grant Ament dished out six assists to get himself over the 50-assist mark and bring his season total to 54. He also added two goals to lead the team with eight points. His six assists is the most assists by a Nittany Lion in Big Ten play
Ament is at 66 points on the season (12g, 54a), which is good for fourth all-time at Penn State, and is a new career-high, passing his 60-point total from 2017.
Ament is now at 180 career points and moved up to third all-time in Penn State history, trailing Greg Jackson (181 – 1994-97) and Gary Martin (252 – 1981-84).
Junior defenseman Nick Cardile recorded a career-high three caused turnovers and two ground balls to help keep the Nittany Lion defensive zone on lockdown. Senior LSM Kevin Fox added two caused turnovers.
Goalie Colby Kneese anchored the defense with 14 saves and a .636 save percentage.
ACTIVE STREAKS
Redshirt junior Grant Ament has the eighth longest point scoring streak in the nation, recording a point in all 40 of his career games played are 62-118-180. Senior Pat Spencer of Loyola currently leads the list at 62 as a senior at 136-212-348. Ament's streak is the longest active in the Big Ten with Michigan's Brent Noseworthy following at 35 games.
Junior Mac O'Keefe is on a 17-game goal scoring streak, dating back to March 17, 2018. He has scored 61 goals during that time. His streak is good for 10th in the nation.

As a team, the Nittany Lions currently rank No. 1 in the nation in seven categories. They are the top team in man-up offense (0.594), points per game (27.50), scoring margin (7.10), scoring offense (17.30), assists per game (10.20), and shot percentage (.434).
Redshirt junior Grant Ament currently leads the nation in assists per game at 6.00. He is second points per game at 7.33.
Junior Mac O'Keefe is second for goals per game at 4.10, and ninth in points per game at 5.10.
Freshman TJ Malone is fifth in shot percentage (.513).
Junior Gerard Arceri is 15th in the nation in faceoff winning percentage at .613 and eighth in groundballs at 8.50.
