UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.-- The sophomore duo of Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N.S. Wales, Australia) and Olivia Rohrbacher (Sandusky, Ohio) entered into the Oracle/ITA Division I Women's Doubles Rankings at No. 79.
This is the first career doubles ranking for O'Gorman and Rohrbacher. Penn State last had a ranked doubles pair in March of 2015 when Victoria Kisialeva and Dasha Sapogova were No. 65.
"We are happy for Gabby and Olivia for their success this year so far in their doubles play," said head coach Chris Cagle. "They have worked hard on implementing some new things in their play this year, which has made improvements for them overall. We have had strong doubles play as a team this year, so their ranking shows our overall team improvement as well!"
O'Gorman and Rohrbacher own an 11-3 record this spring in doubles. Their 11 wins are a team-high and have all come on court No. 1. After only playing together three times in the fall, the pair hit the courts together to start the spring season and rattled off nine wins in a row.
