Penn State continued to fight in the top of the seventh as Lilia Crouthamel drew a lead-off walk before Haley Vallejos singled and Amanda Grieco was hit by a pitch to load the bases with one out. Polk then recorded her second hit of the game to drive in a run and make it 7-2 before Michigan got the final outs to end the game.
Freshman lefty Bailey Parshall struck out three in the start, bringing her season total to 169 for the solo No. 9 spot on Penn State's single-season strikeout list.
Michigan swept the series, 3-0.
