UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 1 Penn State men's lacrosse team will take on No. 15 Johns Hopkins at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening in HighPoint.Com Stadium on the campus of the University of Rutgers in the Big Ten Tournament Final.
No. 1 seed Penn State advanced after a 18-6 win over No. 4 seed Rutgers on Thursday evening, and No. 2 seed Johns Hopkins advanced after 12-7 win over No. 3 seed Maryland.

Tickets for the 2019 Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Tournament are on sale through the Rutgers Ticket Office and can be purchased online here. All tickets will be general admission.

THE MATCH-UP
The Penn State men's lacrosse team and Johns Hopkins have matched up 11 times with the Blue Jays taking the first nine meeting, however, Penn State is on a two-game streak over JHU.
In the last meeting on April 21, 2019, Penn State took down Johns Hopkins in the Big Ten regular season game, 20-9. Penn State saw sophomore Jack Kelly, who missed the last two games, come out on fire and recorded a career-best five points on four goals and assist. Redshirt junior Grant Ament recorded a team-best seven points, scoring a season-best four goals and added three assists.
The Nittany Lions got strong play from the defensive middies as well as senior Robby Black added one caused turnover and one ground ball, while McEvoy added two ground balls. Fellow short stick d-middies Brian Townsend, one caused turnover, and Bobby Burns, one ground balls, added to the impressive performance for the unit. For the LSMs, along with Wright's five ground balls, Kevin fox added one ground ball and one caused turnover.
LAST TIME OUT
Penn State took down Rutgers in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament, 18-6. It was the Nittany Lions' first postseason win in program history, and it was the first time any active play had beaten Rutgers in HighPoint.com Stadium. It was also the largest margin of victory in a Big Ten Tournament game.
Penn State started slow in the first quarter, going 3-2 with the host, but over the second and third quarters the Nittany Lions combined for 12 goals to take a healthy lead that they maintained throughout the game.
Along with the Nittany Lions offensive out-put, Penn State held Rutgers scoreless in the second quarter and the starting unit allowed just four goals during its time on the field.
