UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 8 Penn State women's soccer program is set to host undefeated Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. ET Thursday night on Jeffrey Field. This is just the second time in program history the Nittany Lions have played the Cowgirls of Oklahoma State.
The Nittany Lions continue their home stand after a win over James Madison and a tie against No. 22 West Virginia last week.

Redshirt freshman Ally Schlegel has been named the Big Ten Offensive Player and the Freshman of the Week announced by the Big Ten Conference. Schlegel claims the award after scoring goals in both of Penn State's games this weekend. This is the second consecutive week Schlegel has earned a weekly honor as she was named Co-Freshman of the Week last week.
Schlegel has scored in four consecutive games for the Nittany Lions and Penn State is 3-0-1 in those contests. Schlegel became the first Big Ten student-athlete to win Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week since 8/28/18 when Ohio State's Kayla Fisher also earned both awards.
DYNAMIC DUO
Junior Frankie Tagliaferri and redshirt freshman Ally Schlegel each have four goals to lead the Nittany Lions in goals scored. Tagliaferri and Schlegel are currently tied for second in the Big Ten with their four goals scored.
Tagliaferri is also tied for second in assists (3) and second in points (11).
TOUGH TESTS
The Nittany Lions schedule continues to be filled with ranked opponents. Having already played No. 2 Stanford and No. 23 West Virginia this season. The Nittany Lions are set to meet No. 4 Virginia, No. 19 Rutgers and No. 22 Wisconsin.

The Nittany Lions look to secure their 20th Big Ten regular season championship in 2019. Penn State has claimed 14 more Big Ten titles than the next closest conference institution. The Nittany Lions have won seven Big Ten Tournament titles, four more than the next closest league foe. For the 16th consecutive year, Penn State was selected by the Big Ten coaches as the preseason favorite to win the Big Ten. Along with the 2015 NCAA National Championship, Penn State has appeared in five Women's College Cups (1999, 2002, 2005, 2012, 2015).

Head Coach Erica Dambach has led the Nittany Lions women's soccer program to new heights and has etched herself into one of the best coaches in the history of women's college soccer. Entering 2019, Dambach sits 17th all-time in winning percentage in NCAA Division I history.
