UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State cross country teams host the National Open Friday, October 18 for the final home meet of 2019. The men's cross country team won the Spiked Shoe Invitational earlier this season on the Blue-White Golf Course. The women's race is scheduled to begin at 10:45 followed by the men's race at 11:30.
PARKING INFORMATION
All spectators need to park in the Nittany Deck near the Nittany Lion Inn for $1/hr rate, parking is limited in this area. In addition to the Nittany Deck, the commuter lots are also available for spectators.

BUCKEYE PREVIEW REWIND
The Nittany Lions men's team claimed their third-straight win of the 2019 at the Buckeye Preview on September 28. The women's program finished fourth at the meet. Penn State won the meet with a team score of 53 points. Ben Bumgarner continued his strong season with a seventh-place finish, running 24:55.4 to pace the Nittany Lions. Billy McDevitt also turned in a top-10 finish at the Buckeye Preview.
On the women's side, Kathryn Munks turned in another top-five finish running 20:64.0 on the 6k course. Alison Willingmyre finished eighth for her second top-10 finish of the year.
LAST YEAR AT THE NATIONAL OPEN
Julia Paternain won her third race of the season at last year's National Open, running 20:30 to lead the Nittany Lions to a team title at the Blue-White Golf Course. Alison Willingmyre, Danae Rivers and Kathryn Munks all finished in the top 15.
The men's program finished 10th at last year's National Open led by Colin Abert who finished 10th.

The Nittany Lions hosted two of their four regular season meets on the friendly confines of the Blue-White Golf Course.
