O'Gorman Ends Run at ITA Regionals

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Penn State Women's Tennis team ended their run at ITA Regionals on Monday. The semifinal and final will be played on Tuesday in Blacksburg, Va.

Singles
In the quarterfinals, Junior Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N. S. Wales, Australia) was defeated by Virginia freshman Natasha Subhash, 6-3, 6-2.

"This weekend was very rewarding for Ronit and I having seen the improvement each of our girls have made in this semester. They are truly buying into the culture and pushing each other everyday to get better, and that's what we saw throughout the weekend," said Coach Alexandra Anghelescu. "The support for one another and the focus was the best I've seen from this team and it excites us to see this momentum starting in the late fall to propel us into the spring! We still have one more fall tournament and I'm hopefully that we will end on a high note!"

The Nittany Lions will play in the final tournament on their fall slate next weekend at the Kentucky Invite in Lexington, Ky.
