ALWAYS A BATTLE
The Nittany Lions and Colonials have had their share of close matchups in Pittsburgh over the last three seasons. Penn State's last win at RMU came Feb. 18, 2017, but five of the last six games played in Pittsburgh has been decided by two goals or less.

LAST TIME OUT: #10/10 BOSTON
The Nittany Lions hosted a talented and tough BU squad at Pegula Ice Arena last weekend and fell in both contests to the Terriers. Friday's game finished in a 5-2 win for the Terriers. Saturday ended up as a 5-1 BU victory.

After two first-period goals by BU in game one, the Nittany Lions got on the board with a shorthanded goal from Brooke Madsen in the second period to cut the lead in half. Boston managed to get a third on the board before Rachel Weiss' first-career score once again put the Nittany Lions in striking distance. BU scored twice in the waning minutes to seal the win.

BU had another hot start with a 2-0 lead in game two before Katie McMillan scored to bring PSU back within one. Penn State controlled the second period, but a barrage from the Terriers in the third gave them the weekend sweep.

ALL-TIME VERSUS RMU
This will be the 31st and 32nd all-time meeting between the Nittany Lions and Colonials. RMU leads the all-time series 4-20-6, but three of those wins for PSU came on the road in Pittsburgh.

Penn State has battled high-powered RMU to several close games in recent seasons, with six of the last 10 matchups being decided by either a tie or one goal. Penn State's last win against RMU came on the road Feb. 17, 2017.

The Nittany Lions and Colonials have also met in the last two postseasons with RMU winning both games against PSU in the CHA Semifinals. In the latest matchup, Brooke Madsen was the lone goal scorer for the Nittany Lions in a tight 2-1 Robert Morris win.
