Penn State Earns No. 2 Seed in Big Ten Tournament; Set to Host No. 7-Seed Wisconsin Sunday

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Penn State men's soccer team earned the No. 2 seed in the 2019 Big Ten Conference Tournament, as announced by the conference office Sunday evening.

As a top-four seed, the Nittany Lions (11-2-3, 6-1-1 Big Ten) will host No. 7-seed Wisconsin (3-10-4, 1-4-3 Big Ten) in the quarterfinals on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. ET at Jeffrey Field.

The game will be streamed live on subscription-based BTN Plus.

Admission and parking are free for all fans.

During the regular season, Penn State beat Wisconsin, 2-1, in Madison, Wisc.

Penn State is a two-seed in the tournament for the first time since 2009 when they went on to advance to the title game before eventually falling. The Nittany Lions are 5-5-0 all-time as the No. 2 seed but a perfect 3-0-0 when playing the No. 7 seed. They are also 5-0-0 all-time against the Badgers in the conference tournament.

The Nittany Lions were originally picked to finish sixth in the conference by the other Big Ten coaches during the preseason.
