Miscellaneous Notes

  • For the first time in Penn State program history, it opened the season with four-straight games with 80 or more points scored.
  • The Nittany Lions are off to a 4-0 to start and its best start since a 5-0 beginning in 2017-18.
  • Penn State moves to 79-25 all-time vs. Bucknell with its third-straight win in the series over the Bison.

Penn State Team Notes

  • Penn State's 98 points in regulation are the most since 104 vs. Gardner-Webb This is the first time since January 16, 2019 that Penn State has scored at least 45 points in the first half
  • Penn State has scored 50 or more points in the second half of two games this season with 54 vs. Wagner (Nov. 9) and 53 vs. Bucknell.
  • It has been nearly 10 years since the Nittany Lions recorded a field goal percentage of at least 60 percent. The last time was November 25, 2009 vs. Sacred Heart (63.8).
  • Over half of Penn State players saw more than 10 minutes on the court.
  • Penn State's 58 points in the paint are the most since 62 vs. Mt. St. Mary's on Dec. 22, 2013.

 
Nittany Lions Individual Notes

  • Senior forward Mike Watkins takes over the No. 5 spot on Penn State's career rebounding list with 757 career rebounds.
  • Senior forward Lamar Stevens moves up to fifth on the Nittany Lions' career list for field goals made.
  • Stevens registered a season-high 27 points off 11 field goals and had three steals. It was his first 20+ point game of 2019-20.
  • Stevens is now tied for ninth on PSU's career blocked shots list with 92.
  • Starting every game since stepping on to campus, Stevens has 108 consecutive starts, second-longest current streak in the nation. 
  • Watkins scored a season-high of 18 points off field goals, going 9-12 from the floor. He improved his Penn State career-record field goal percentage to 62.0 percent.
  • Junior guard Jamari Wheeler went a perfect 5-5 from the field for his fifth career game in double-figure scoring.
