UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's basketball team hits the road once again this weekend to face Purdue at 2 p.m. Sunday on the Big Ten Network.

  • Penn State hits the road again to face Purdue Sunday afternoon in a nationally-televised battle on the Big Ten Network.

SCOUTING PURDUE

  • Purdue enters Sunday's game at 13-7 overall and an even 4-4 in Big Ten play.
  • The Boilermakers are coming off a 76-68 road win at Nebraska in their most recent game Wednesday night.
  • Purdue is 8-2 at home this season compared to its 3-4 mark in away games.
  • Purdue's other conference wins came over Ohio State, Wisconsin and Illinois. The Boilermakers have dropped Big Ten games to Rutgers, Indiana, Northwestern and Minnesota.
  • Karissa McLaughlin leads three Boilermakers in double figures with 12.9 points per game. Ae'Rianna Harris has chipped in 12.7 ppg, while Dominique Oden contributes 11.8 ppg.

 
AGAINST THE BOILERMAKERS

  • Purdue leads the all-time series 31-21, including a 16-7 edge when playing in West Lafayette, Ind.
  • Penn State won the most recent meeting, 72-61, on Feb. 21, 2019 in Happy Valley.
  • A strong shooting night and a balanced offensive attack led Penn State to the victory in last season's only meeting. Penn State finished the game shooting a then season-best 50 percent (26-for-52) from the field while four Lady Lions registered double-digit points.
  • Siyeh Frazier put together a career night as she scored a then career-best 18 points while also leading the team with nine rebounds and four assists. Amari Carter also chipped in 18 points. Jaida Travascio-Green tied her season high with 14 points, while Kamaria McDaniel rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12 points.

 
DANGEROUS DUO

  • The duo of senior Siyeh Frazier and junior Kamaria McDaniel have been off to a torrid start in conference play. McDaniel is averaging 21.1 points per conference game, while Frazier owns a mark of 14.6 points per Big Ten contest.
  • Frazier and McDaniel became the first pair of Penn State players to both score 20-plus points in back-to-back games since the 2011-12 season.
  • Frazier and McDaniel both scored 24 points against Michigan State on Jan. 9 and followed that with 22-point performances at Ohio State on Jan. 12.
  • The last time the same two players scored 20-plus points in back-to-back games was Nov. 26 and Nov. 30, 2011 when Zhaque Gray and Maggie Lucas did so. Gray scored 21 against Nevada on Nov. 26, 2011 and 25 against North Carolina on Nov. 30, 2011, while Lucas dropped 26 against Nevada and 21 against UNC.

 
20-20 VISION

  • Junior Kamaria McDaniel scored 20 or more points in four of Penn State's first five Big Ten games. She was the first Lady Lion to score 20-plus in four of the first five conference games since Tyra Grant did so during the 2009-10 season.
  • The Inkster, Mich. native has tallied eight 20-plus point efforts, five of which have come in conference play, and has scored in double figures in 18 of Penn State's 19 games.
