Men’s Tennis Falls to #5 Ohio State

Columbus, Ohio – Penn State men's tennis (7-6, B1G 0-2) lost its second Big Ten match to No. 5 Ohio State,  (14-3, B1G 1-0) 6-1 Sunday afternoon at the Varsity Indoor Tennis Center in Columbus, Ohio. 

DOUBLES 

Penn State battled in doubles, but Ohio State walked away with the first point of the match. 

Alp Sentay and Gabriel Nemeth's match against No. 3 John McNally and Robert Cash went unfinished at 5-5. 

SINGLES

The Buckeyes won on every singles court but three to clinch the match win. 

The lone Nittany Lion to win their singles match was Nemeth. The senior defeated Justin Boulais in a third set tiebreak, 2-6, 7-5, (11-9). 

UP NEXT

The Nittany Lions will hit the west coast to take part in the San Diego Shakedown Tournament on Saturday, March 15 to March 16, with San Diego, Arizona and Texas Tech.
