Pantazis Named Men's Gymnastics Captain

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Senior Brennan Pantazis has been named captain of the Penn State men's gymnastics team for the 2021 season. He was selected for the position in a vote by his Nittany Lions teammates.

Pantazis is a Big Ten individual champion, winning a title on floor as a freshman in 2018, and has been one of the team's top all-around gymnasts for the past three seasons. Last season, he qualified for the Winter Cup in Las Vegas with his performance in the all-around during the season-opening West Point Open.

Pantazis is the 89th Penn State gymnast to serve as a team captain. He follows the recently graduated Brayden Borromeo.

Penn State is a 12-time NCAA champion and four-time Big Ten champion. Pantazis helped the Lions win their most recent conference title in 2019.
