CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Penn State women's golf team earned its first-ever WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award ranking tied for 25th in the nation among more than 300 NCAA Division I schools with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.80 for the 2019-20 academic year.
The award recognizes the women's collegiate golf programs with the highest collective average team GPA which includes all the team's student-athletes for the 2019-20 season. Penn State's nine student-athletes had an average GPA of 3.80 including five WGCA All-American Scholars and five Big Ten Distinguished Scholars.
Of the 14 Big Ten institutions, the Nittany Lions ranked third behind Illinois (T-8th; 3.86) and Rutgers T-15th; 3.832).
